As a Texas-born and -raised bandleader, singer/songwriter, classically trained pianist, and composer first educated in composition and orchestration at Columbia University under Pulitzer Prize-winner Paul Moravec, followed by a stint studying film scoring in the UCLA Extension program, when composing, I attempt to combine my love of a multitude of musical genres—from ambient techno, to bebop, to power pop—in presenting an altogether compelling, personal, and individual musical voice.

Over the last several years, the variety of work experiences I have been able to enjoy—from scoring (and receiving film-festival awards for) both dramatic short films and a comedy feature, to creating a custom library for reality-TV stalwart Bunim/Murray, to designing music beds for the website of a prominent fashion publication, to supplying interstitial music for KCRW in Los Angeles, to recording and touring with my pop/jazz band Layabout—only further reinforces my love of writing for film, television, and other mediums while solidifying my desire to continue pursuing this type of wonderfully creative and inspiring work in the years ahead.
